It's been about two months since my trip cross country. I'm finally posting my first major stop: Badlands National Park in South Dakota. This was by far one of my favorites of the parks I visited. We arrived in a terrible storm, lightning, thunder, and torrential rain...we thought our chances of seeing the park were slim to none when we got there. We asked the park ranger if it was worth even going in, and he said, "just you wait, once the rain stops, you're going to see amazing things..." he was right. As soon as the rain cleared, the sunset shone through and there was an incredible rainbow. We were able to stop by the next morning as well for a clear day of lovely weather.
